The Shirtless Violinist

May 21, 7:30 p.m.

Matthew Olshefski is a classical violinist living in Seattle. Born in Santa Fe to musical parents, Matthew and his younger brother and sister all began playing the violin at age 3. As teenagers they traveled the country in a string trio called “Two Hits and a Miss”.

At age 18, Matthew became Concert Master of the Kansas City Ballet Orchestra before moving to the Pacific Northwest where he played with various chamber groups, symphony, and recording orchestras. He also accompanied Josh Grobin and Andrea Bocelli on tour.

In 2016, Matthew posted a viral video to YouTube and became known as “The Shirtless Violinist”. Now with more than 35 music videos and over 20 million views, Matthew’s “alter ego” has performed for sold out crowds across the country and stages around the world.
